Fran Gress has dedicated his fundraising career to serving the nonprofit sector, and has enjoyed a special focus on building new fundraising programs and innovating within traditional ones. Fran’s work is grounded in best practice, maintained through his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) accreditation, and customized according to the organization’s unique character, needs, and goals. 

Prior to Horizons National, Fran served as Director of Campaign Services for the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, having raised over $12M to advance the organization’s poverty interventions and the broader nonprofit community. Fran began his career serving the missions of Einstein Healthcare Network, Our Lady of Port Richmond Regional School, and Saint Joseph’s University, where he received his B.A.
