STEM
From coding and robotics to rocketry and architecture, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities challenge students to work together, problem solve, and think critically, all while learning important 21st-century skills. Horizons students enjoy hands-on, project-based STEM learning in traditional math and science, plus enrichment activities, giving all students the opportunity to tinker, explore, create, and discover!
For older Horizons students, STEM learning also includes financial literacy, implementing practical math skills to calculate college costs, forecast potential earnings and expenses, and apply for financial aid and and scholarships. It’s no wonder Horizons graduates say their exposure to STEM and other project-based activities has increased their interest in math and science and helped define their career choices!
This summer I loved learning about personal finance. It helps me feel prepared.
