Horizons is committed to whole-child well-being, because healthy bodies and minds go hand-in-hand. Our summer programming provides students:

  • Nutritious meals: Horizons ensures students receive healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks every day of the program. There are also field trips to local farms and grocery stores to teach students about the origins of their foods.

  • Daily physical activity and mental well-being: Students enjoy active play, yoga, meditation, and sports that build confidence, mindfulness, and teamwork.

  • Swimming lessons: Learning to swim is a hallmark of Horizons. It builds safety skills, self-esteem, and offers a fun, healthy way to stay active.

  • Time in nature: Horizons gives students meaningful time outdoors—gardening, exploring campus green spaces, and going on field trips—to support a deeper connection to the world around them.

By combining healthy living with joyful learning, Horizons students return to school energized, confident, and ready to thrive.
