Horizons was honored to host First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Education Secretary Dr. Miguel Cardona for a visit to Horizons at Albertus Magnus College in CT and Horizons Atlanta at the University of Georgia in GA!
On Wednesday, July 21, Drs. Biden and Cardona, along with Ned Lamont, Governor of Connecticut, and Justin Elicker, Mayor of New Haven, joined students, teachers, and parents from Horizons at Albertus Magnus College (AMC) and Horizons at The Foote School for the first stop on their Summer Learning Tour: a showcase of summer learning and its critical role in pandemic recovery.
Hosted by the National Summer Learning Association, National Summer Learning Week is an annual celebration dedicated to elevating the importance of keeping kids learning, safe, and healthy every summer, and ensuring they return to school ready to succeed in the year.
