Honoring Black History Month
February is Black History Month - a time to recognize and honor the countless Black individuals who have contributed to the advance of society. In February of 1926, Carter G. Woodson began 'Negro History Week,' and over the years, it has grown into a dynamic, month-long study and celebration of Black history.
Throughout this month we will share stories of Black Voices in Education, highlight Black History Month events and recognition from across our Network, and, through our virtual professional development and community-building series Horizons' Community Series: Together in Action for Equity, we will engage in Network-wide conversations and offer educational sessions rooted in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
We encourage you to follow us on social media to stay up to date on our month-long recognition.
