Year-Round Programming

Horizons isn't only a summer program! Sites stay engaged with students and families throughout the school year, working in partnership to continually support students' success. During the school year, programs host activities like weekend or after-school programming, holiday celebrations, special events, family classes and workshops, tutoring and mentorship programs, and college success programs, offering ongoing opportunities for their community to build relationships and continue students' post-summer academic and social growth. These touchpoints are also important opportunities for the program to understand students' school-year experiences, so that Horizons teachers are prepared to best serve the individual needs of students during the summer session.
