Prompt: What kind of person do you hope to be in the future?
"The kind of person that I hope to be in the future is someone that inspires students to reach their goals. I am currently at the University of New Mexico to obtain my teaching license to teach science from grades 7th through 12th. I want to inspire students to appreciate what science has to offer as well as get them interested in looking into or pursuing a career in science. Not only did I want to become a science teacher to teach what I am passionate about, I also want to make a difference in the lives of students. I want to encourage them to be more and help them reach their true potential. This is what I was given when I was in the Horizons program. The support that I received from my teachers allowed me to go to college to earn a Bachelor's degree and now I'm back in college to earn my teaching license to pass on what I learned and what I was given while I was in the Horizons program."
